This article explains how to sign up for Yandex.Mail. Creating a Yandex.Mail account with a new email address and plenty of online storage is easy and free. These instructions are for desktop users using any desktop browser.

To set up a new Yandex.Mail account and email address:

Go to Yandex.Mail and select Create an Account. The registration page opens.

In the First name text box, enter your first name.

In the Last name text box, enter your last name.

In the Enter a login text box, enter the user name you want to use. This is the first part of the email address, which is followed by @yandex.com.

Yandex suggests several logins for you. Choose one of the suggestions, or try your own to see if it is available.

In the Enter a password text box, type the password you want to use for your Yandex.Mail account. In the Confirm password text box, enter the password again.

A strong email password is long, easy to remember for you, and hard to guess for anybody else.

In the Mobile phone number text box, enter a phone number where you can receive SMS text messages.

Entering your mobile number is optional. If you don't want to enter your number, select I don't have a mobile phone number. Then, select a question and enter the answer to the security question. You'll use this question and answer to regain access to your account if you forget the password.

Select Confirm number.

Enter the code you receive by SMS and select Register.

Review the privacy policy and terms of agreement and select Accept.

Also in this box is a check box that lets you opt out of ads and other offers from their services.
